They should have made the Super 17 saga longer. I would of prefered it if they had more with the bad guys coming back from hell. And although they were reeeaaalllyy weak compared to Goku, they should of had more of Cell and Frieza. Although that might be favouritism because Cell's my favourite...Hehe...

Sometimes I just like to consider GT taking place in an alternate universe. =/
Besides isn't GT non-canon anyway?
Yes and no.

GT is canon to the anime adaption of the series, it's not canon to the manga. For the most part, the anime was written by Toei(with occasional input from the creator) so the manga takes precedence.

So... yeah, you can justifiably say GT never happened if you only go by "manga canon."

They just rushed through the whole series. It started off okay but they should of had Goten on the search for the black star dragonballs.

The baby saga was actually really good as we see Goku go ss4 and baby was a cool villian and had awesome techniques.

Super 17 saga failed hardcore, to short and just plain boring.

The shadow dragon saga was the worst, firstly the dragons looked like different species of retarded fish and it was boring. It was boring all they did was defeat a dragon one episode then onto the next.

The ending i actually thought was really good and gave me sense that it was actually the end.

The Super 17 arc had the most potential, and the Evil Shen Long arc had almost as much. I don't think GT was horrible, but it wasn't great either.

DBGT was ok.

The Baby saga was awesome at the middle and end but kind of slack at the start.

The super 17 saga was boring and you already know what was going to happen. Villains come back. Goku in hell. Fights cell and freezer, gets out. Kicks owned by 17, goes ssj4. 17 absorbs his kamehameha. Goku then dragonfist 17 and he dies.

The dragon saga was ok at the start and good at the end!

Yea, GT wasn't the greatest thing Toei has ever done, it could have been...but they just dropped the ball too many times.

I enjoyed dbgt. Was not as good as the previous series (no way they could have done better even if the creator played dictator and ran with it solo). My biggest complaint are the episodes before the introduction with baby. They were annoying, and I did not like the majority of the characters (except Gil, he is amusing). My favourite arc was the shadow dragons because I thought it was an appropriate capstone considering the theme. I also enjoyed ss4, and gogeta. I am glad Vegeta's character hadn't changed, he was still good ol' head strong proud vegeta even with a slightly different appearance. It was also touching to see nearly 40 year old gohan show some emotion over piccolo's death, it harkened back to young gohan.

by the way I'm only assuming gohan is that age since isn't GT 10 years after the end of Z? (which was 10 years after buu)

- Goten should've gone along to space with Goku and Trunks. It would've been nice to see more adult Trunks/Goten interaction especially in the light-hearted "return to Dragonball" saga. And Pan sucks, the trip would've been much better without her. Hell, make it a father-son outing and bring Vegeta along. :p

- Bringing back the villains in the way they did was pointless, lazy, and frankly, an insult to their previous epicness. Frieza and Cell deserved better. Well, actually, I don't think they should've been brought back at all. Bringing back villains rarely works.

- More glimpses into their normal lives. That's probably my favorite aspect of Dragonball/Z/GT but also the most neglected. I would've liked to see their families, some romance with wives and girlfriends, quality time with the kids (that isn't sparring or training), professional lives, etc. Maybe some would've found it boring but I think it could've fleshed out the characters more.

- Better fight scenes. I dunno, it's not like I'm even that into the fighting - like, it's enjoyable to watch but it's not my favorite thing to talk about. Discussions about power levels and who's >< who tend to make make my eyes glaze over. Still, the fights in GT were very underwhelming and more energy beam dependent than ever before. Bah.

- Nifty concepts that were just rushed and not executed as well as they could've been. The Baby saga (worst villian name ever) could've been an epic struggle between the last of two near-dead races as well as way to shed light on Saiyan history pre-Frieza and their (mis)deeds throughout the universe.

The Black Star Dragonball saga could've been a great saga to end on, one with a valid moral message: the Z gang overused and took for granted what was supposed to be sacred and for extremely rare use only. Thus death, devastation, and all their mortal problems were mere hindrances that could be easily wished away, and that's NOT what the Dragonballs are for. They could've dug deeper into this, made the characters think about how dependent they've become on the Dragonballs, how the Dragonballs affected their lives individually (this could've been a great time for introspection from characters like Vegeta and Piccolo). And the dragons themselves should have been more than just Monster of the Week.

- The Goku Jr. vs. Vegeta Jr. scene at the end was just dumb. 1/16th Saiyan is far too diluted to become a super saiyan. No one less than 1/2 or 1/4 should be able to transform imo. Plus, what' making them look exactly like Goku and Vegeta was stupid. Not even Goku and Vegeta's kids look just like them, so how are their great-great grandsons gonna be spitting images... 100 YEARS LATER? Why couldn't they have designed new characters with some resemblance to their ancestors without being so obvious about it? The names are stupid too. Again, Juniors... 100 YEARS LATER? Just make up some new names. Bleh.
the saiyan prince will not fall again!

Dragonball GT could have been much better if the series had more than 64 episodes.

64 episodes should be Lost Saga and Baby Saga. 20 episodes of Super Android 17 Saga and 16 episodes of Shadow Dragon Saga possibly smaller then 16 episodes.

GT is my opinion was awful, completely a waste of my time. It had it's moments but it was bad. Also Pan ruined a lot.

I thought it was 20? GT didn't took 5 years after Z well I am not sure. I have it at 10 due to two reasons.

1. Bra does not look like a 10 year old. She looks around 15 which she is if it takes place after 10 years. Also Pan does not look 9. Another thing is that teens where trying to flirt with her. Those teens like even older than 15 imo. Unless pan and bra are mature for their age I doubt it is 5 years after z.

2. The power boost is to big after just only 5 years. 10 makes a little more sense.

GT was ok, but only 64 episodes, lame. First 15-20 were so goddamn boring, I almost fell asleep during every one of those episodes. I mean, going after the dragon balls, again, meeting all those annoying characters and their boring problems. They should've wrapped the first 20 episodes into 5. Baby saga was maybe the best one. Super 17 saga was waaaay too short, and all those villains escaping from hell.. and that fight, Goku vs. Cell & Frieza, horrible and too short. Shadow dragons saga.. First 4 dragons, wtf ?! They looked like a joke, lol. Ending was the best, fight with Omega Shenron, Gogeta making fun of him. And after Omega was defeated, Goku goes away with Shenron, just like that, no goodbye, no nothing, that was the sad part. I wish he stayed with his family, training with his sons..

And what about Pan ? She wasn't so bad. Yes, she was annoying sometimes, but you gotta admit, she was a nice addition to the story.

And sorry if my english is bad, I'm trying not to sound stupid XD
